This is the type of chair I will be working on.

 In page one I will be working on the glue blocks. Below you can see where the glue blocks attach to the chair. The groves are often filled with glue and can be difficult to remove. The joint below has already been cleaned. I'll show you what I used to clean the grooves with out damaging the fit. The grooved joints are a press fit and you need to be extra careful how you clean them.

Below is an example of what you can expect to find. The two glue blocks on the left are really loaded with glue.

Close up. The glue build up in some grooves are close to 1/4 of an inch.

In page two I will be working on the chair joints, like the one pictured below. Again, you must be careful to ONLY remove the glue and not distort the joint. All broken and loose dowels will be removed and replaced with new ones. When removing broken dowels it is very important not to distort the dowel socket, or you will end up with a loose joint. You will learn the techniques that I use that will guarantee clean tight fitting undistorted joints.

In page three and four you will learn what I use to remove mold and mildew, and what I use to restore the finish.
